Hi,

I am planning to get a new speaker system soon but still i am not sure what to get...
Ok i own Roland EM2000 (for now will change soon too) and SoundCraft Powestation 600 ... I dont realy care if the system is heavy i am big guy and have help

I was testing EV SX 250 (nonpow.) and JBL MP415 ... to me MP415 is more clearer speaker but SX250 have more bass... ( i will also get subs for bigger gigs but this is only when i dont need subs)

Then I put JBL SF22SP Powered Subwoofer to the JBL MP415 ...it was amazing ! I realy like this combination...

After i put Sx500 to the SX250.. samo amazing! that what i am scared about...

Two nice systems hard to campare...

What would you get ?

Thank you!

EM, I'm an EV fan. I think they are generally livlier than JBLs. I think JBLs have a rawer, flatter , maybe even rougher sound IMHO. I love SX100 and SX300 non-powered speakers. They are fairly light and very versatile.

For what it's worth. Good luck

SX300s and a powered sub. That'll be sweet.

We like smaller. The 300 has GREAT bass, even though it's a 12, and with a sub, there's NO NEED to accentuate the bass in the top cabinets. It's more efficient to dedicate each frequency to a specific job. Bass stays on the floor, where it's most effective, and the rest goes to the sattelite cabinets.

The HK Audio active systems. LUKAS XT is the smallest for small crowds, Projector is the largest for big open airs.
Always the sound of a good studio monitor, the difference is weight and price only. Check it with a good CD at your local dealer.
More expensive but with a much better sound: The active systems of Mackie.
All these systems are easy to handle, you only need EQs because the acoustic of the rooms where you perform.

There is a dedicated email address for the US on their dealer locator: usa@hkaudio.com. Maybe you could contact them...
