when i play back a song from floppy disk i can not find how to make the 9000 pro to show me what it is playing back- the "settings" such as the voices it's using etc-
does anyone know how to make it show the voices used in recording the song?
thanks,
shara

shara,
Just a guess, but I think while a song is playing you might try hitting the Digital Mixer button to reveal the voices that are being used. You probably can change them here and adjust volumes also...

Shara,
Trying hard to recall the interface of the 9k I had.....but Lou is right at least as it applies to the Tyros. If you go to the mixer section and press voice, it should pop up to the bank of the voice it's playing for each track.

Shara,
I think Lou & Terry are right on how to do this but I will check it out
after a bit.
I haven't turned that little sweetheart on today yet, BUT I will ........
(the pro I'm talking about here)

HI: Shara
I will try to explain how to do this, but I'm no good at
giving directions So I hope you can follow my MESS.
You have to load the Midi into the sequencer
first.

If you have your midi song on floppy install into drive,
Push Digital Recording,
Then Song Creator,
then Current Song, (wait for it to load)
then Multi Track Record,
then Next Button 3 times, (takes you to Set Up page)
then push Mixing Console button,
go to the page where you see TR1 thru TR8 at the bottom of page,
(you do this by pushing the mixing console button)
this is the first 8 tracks, (make your changes)
then go to the next page (by pushing mixing console button)
this is TR9 thru TR16 the other 8 tracks (this is also where the
accompaniment parts are recorded)
go to the Voice page of mixing console to change voices,
(you can change voices on the fly)
when your done push Exit, (takes you back to Set Up page)
there you'll see Execute push it,
then push next & there you'll see Save & Delete options.

I hope you can figure this mess out, & find it helpful.
Enjoying the 9000 PRO

Well, I have to say that's one thing they improved on the Tyros big time....load the tune and push mixing counsel then just swap voices. Not to mention the auto revoice to the best voices on the Tyros.

Hey: Terry
I just checked again & found out you don't have to load the midi into
the sequencer first to see / or change the voice's, But you do have to
press the Mixing Console button until you get to TR1 - TR8 for the first
8 tracks & then once more to get to TR9 - TR16 for the other 8 tracks.

Cooooooollllll never done it that way before.

What a sweetheart the PRO is.
Denny
PS: I guess I must like doing things the long way /or is that the wrong way. haaaa ?

you all are great!!! as usual!! thanks!!! it would have been nice if the yam guys had put something in that would connect it to the registration used!! i guess i'll have to be careful about naming the songs to match the registrations- part of life's learning curve!! thanks again- the mixing console is the key-
take care,
shara
