Check it out--it has pitch bend built into the voice. You initiate it with a harder touch. That means you can bend one note while holding the other notes in a chord, just as a steel guitar player can. I'm polishing the technique--it takes some practice. If you have the right finger control you can hit a full chord and only bend one note from it. I've never seen a keyboard able to do this, except the synths with polyphonic aftertouch.

Wait.... are you saying it's bending ONE note within the chord, and not the whole chord? That's pretty good if it can. Most earliert units triggered aftertouch as a global treatment. That'd be cool if it does, but it will require some specific fingering technique. Hope it works for ya !

The Ketron XD3/9 also allows you to bend just the lower note(s) when playing haiwian guitar chords or using the harmony feature. It really does allow an authentic sound

Uncle Dave, with the Aloha Guitar you can play a full chord & if you hit
the last note a little harder it is just the last note that will bend.
The 9000 Pro works this way also.
Denny
PS: I just tried it now & I guess it will bend any note/& just
that note that you hit harder, it don't have to be the last note of the chord.

Dave,
It's not triggered by aftertouch--as you know the 21K doesn't have aftertouch. It's built into the voice and triggered by "initial touch". Pretty neat. It works similar to the way the E Guitar does, except with pitch bend instead of harmonics.

Don,
Ok, gotcha ..... it's initial touch. That explains it better. Sound's kinda cool.
Denny,
I'll see if I can use it on the 9Kp in today's session.

Roland 5080 does this also..It is just a velocity control utilized in a patch..
