Does anyone have an opinion or report on this Roland board - someone that owns one and is familiar, hands-on.

Thanks,
zuki

Adimatis -

Thank you for this information. Can't wait to hear your opinion. The E-60 isn't available yet in the US.

can you think of anything dumber than Roland and Korg
not having pa800 and E-series out in November, before
Xmas shopping season, and after so much time has passed w/o anything new on mkt, and to get the jump on competition before NAMM..really, how can they be so
deet-da-deeeeee! (dumb.. as per Carlos Mencia, comedy channel....)

Well, one thing that might be dumber is releasing it with a bunch of "bugs" in it, as Roland did with the G70.
Maybe they wanted to test them reallly well on the Europeans before they give them to us in the U.S.
That's a little humor. Please don't anyone get offended!

Quite the opposite - a compliment...it just means the Europeans are smarter and figure it out for us.

There's a lot of truth in that statement about bugs. Take a look at Microsoft. They have missed the prime Christmas season with its' new Vista Operating System, just wasn't ready for release in time. Now it's January 30th and speaking of bugs, it probably will still have bugs come January(Vista not the keyboard)

Hello,

I too would be interested in hearing your opinions and experiences with the E-60. I am very curious about this arranger and would like to hear a couple people talk about it before pulling the trigger. Thank you.

Maybe true!!
I think the Europeans overall have a better grasp of arrangers, because arrangers are so much more popular there. There aren't many more than a handful of people in the US than I can communicate with about the intricacies of arrangers. If it weren't for this forum, the number would even drop from that.

Sounds like Roland has hit this time.
Here is a quote, "Conclusion:

I really like this keyboard. It makes my music come alive, and it sounds better then ever before (upgraded from a Roland EM-25). "
I still have the Roland EM20 and the EXR series didn't seem to be much of an improvement, IMO.

I like this one:
"Other things:

The 76 key action is great, feels firm, plays smooth and is really expressive. I love it."

I've decided either the pa800 or the E60 is the one I will get..but neither of them are here yet to try and i finally
have a pretty full calendar, woudn't cha know it!! So i have an idea..why don't we all choose sides and fight it out..just
based on what we have read. those T2 vs G7vs pa1x arguments are getting so boring...and most of the ones arguing haven't tried the other side's kb anyway..so this way it will at least be even-steven!!! equal ignorance! I love it.

Ok, here goes: hey guys, i'm trying to decide between the
E60 and the pa800. I'd prefer 76 keys, but it has no vocalizer...who can give me some advice? I play mostly
jazz and latin and blues, and use mostly just bass and drums in the arranger...which has the better, louder speakers? hipper styles for my groove/ better piano, rhodes, vibes, guitars, organs, strings, vocalese scat...

The PA800 is here in my store and more are shipping any day now. They are definetely available before NAMM show. There are no bugs in this new keyboard.

Hello George,

I there any chance you could give us your impressions on the Roland E-60 and Korg PA800? I, like the previous poster, am looking at these models for possible consideration. Any input you could provide would be extremely valuable. Thank you.
