Glenn the DUAL MP3 card on my Pa800 sounds great its has alot more gain then the styles & the quality is superb.
The PA800 SONGBOOK feature is a super useful multi-flexible feature and there are so many on board....Just create a CUSTOM Songbook List of all your songs or different Titled categories ....either with Styles, Mp3/SMF, with Text link etc, etc, it will SAVE ALL INFORMATION & Perimeters for easy on the fly call up .... Write it (Korg Lingo for Save)....then just scroll down the list select the song on the touch screen and play it.....or you can even have a Mp3 in SEQ1 & a SMF in SEQ2 while playing a Style and then just segway into each using the slider so sweeeeet. You can have your songs/lyrics etc, on Dual thumb drives Front or Rear or install the Hard drive accepts up to TWO Terrabytes also. You can scroll and browse songs while your playing also. PLUS, you can RECORD to the MP3 Card also. Hope this helps......check out the manual & tutorials also. http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/en/products/pa800_info.html?en
Donny, I'd be VERY interested in hearing how smooth a job the pitch and time change functions work...
Care to post a quick demo of a nice track (doesn't have to be yours ) at it's original pitch and time, then one of it slowed down maybe 15 bpm and transposed down maybe a minor third...? Those are the hardest to do well, IMO.
And, if time permits, how about sped up 15 bpm and transposed UP?
Will those features work on .WAVs as well as MP3's? Just curious, because they may display fewer artifacts...
Oh, and do you get any 'glitches' from the function if you engage it DURING the track playback?
Enquiring minds want to know...

I'm too busy this week...but will try in November when I have a few days off to give it a shot and get back at ya ok? I haven't even tried to record off the Mp3 card either yet. I dont know if Dave has done it yet either but I'll ask him also....Dave?

Diki just for the heck of it...I stuck the thumb drive into the pa800 tonight on stage before I started to perform ......loaded an Mp3, and while it was playing there is a small tempo window in the the song title display.....I just tapped it to highlight it and started to turn the wheel as the tempo increased smoothly WITHOUT A GLITCH in real time and subsequently decreased it the same way....very impressive!!....I now have to figure out how to transpose the mp3/wav as you requested ,,,,,then I'll try to record some short demos ....more to come.

Hmmm, I was looking for a "record" button to capture a live performance tonight (with the MP3 board), but I have no idea where to look. I didn't have time to investigate, but i kinda remember that it has this capability. Anyone do this yet?

Unless I am missing something, there is only one volumne slider for a dual purpose, which is master volumne and right hand volumne... When using styles, I found myself messing with that volumne level all the time.
If your playing along to mp3's or midi files, I guess your ok ...

ok I found how to Record with the Mp3 card on the Korg Pa800 at my gig last night just HOLD SHIFT & RECORD...so I tried to use it on the fly for the first time without doing anything but pushing record while I was playing & singing just to see how it worked...saved it to the thumb drive & was quite satisfied with the results....pretty much you'll have to balance your vocals over the music in real time but I can see this being very useful for many purposes for sure...here's a taste, mistakes and all.

zuki Rods song was a smf with me singing & playing Gosplel V organ on top I wanted to try recording a smf on the fly although I usualy do it using the factory "8bt Standard" which is simply terrific for these kind of tunes great intos & ending, eg: My Way, etc, etc, Marielena is also a smf but I selected the Nylon pro to show off the Guitars....just trying all formats as I get used to it.. ......Pa800 w/Mp3 card records all formats sty,smf,mp3 without a hitch instantly on the fly live. Btw how ya doing with yours so far?

I think I got scammed by KORGMASTER and time will tell. I am sick right now thinking about it. Sold my 900 and had to buy another one last minute because of this crap. Out $1550 but fighting for it right now.

Zuki you should start another thread to keep us informed, I think Korgmaster was on the buy and sell here at the 'zone. I hope paypal can help you out.
Donnie nice tunes that new board sounds good. I'd like to hear more of the vocal harmony I couldn't find any on the korg site do you know of any vocal demos around?
