While I agree with much of what you state, historically, it is just that History. We cannot change history--it's not possible. We (all of us) can only change what happens in the future. Someone a lot smarter than me said if you want to find out why certain events took place historically "Just follow the money trail!" He was absolutely correct. Seems this is still the case today.
Very few people, especially in the U.S. and U.K., have taken the time to look at China's contributions to the world. Many, many things we all take for granted would not have existed if it had not been for China's very industrious and creative people.
As for arranger keyboards being made in China, when you consider the low number of problems we encounter, the quality can be rated as second to none. Here in the U.S. we have more recalls for defective cars, auto tires and a host of other items, including medications, than anyone can imagine.
Should we boycott China? I think we better start worrying if they decide to boycott us.
BTW: This one should be at The Bar...

Why don't you just admit that you're scared of the rising economic power of China and other Asian nations? You did it your way, they do it their way. You just don't want them to succeed.
Whose human rights have you respected? Native Americans? African Americans? Hispanics? Asians? It even took you till 1920, when women finally won the vote throughout the nation. You still have a the gender pay gap, men are still preferred over women in the work force, etc. Not even your Constitution guarantees women the same rights as men. Once again, first take care of your own backyard.
The main thing is, as long as it benefits you, you don't give a rat's ass about anyone. Not now, not ever! Taike, I agree with much of what you say. I am an anamoly where I live... I do not just wave my flag for the good ol' USA. I agree that the good ol' USA has done a lot of bad things. And continues to do so. It seems all of this is planned. Why, I don't know. I guess because the powers that be, whomever they are, want it this way. The U.S. government, or those who control the U.S. government, seem to WANT China to become the big dog. It's all very puzzling. It's been unfolding before our eyes for a long time and they seem to support it. As for those from the USA... I read a report last year from a seemingly very credible source. And it predicted, through some very convincing statistical extrapolations (yeah, gotta be careful with those, haha) that the USA will take a backseat within about 30 years, as I recall. China will become the big dog, followed, I think it was, by India. I'd like to believe in the USA's "goodness" promoted by many, but, the cynic in me sees a lot of bad in the way the U.S. government has behaved. And I don't know if that can be fixed, it might just be the way it is and is going to be... the USA, as big dog, is history. Countries have failed throughout history. In fact, nobody ever stays on top long. What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

Larry, history tends to repeat itself as we all know, albeit often too late.
Today is tomorrow's history. Whether something happened yesterday, last month, last year, 50 years or 1000 years ago, it'll always have an impact on our today.
I believe it's far more important to look at how multi-nationals control all and everything, and when things go bad, as they have, us little guys have to sacrifice in order for the bigwigs to maintain their lifestyle. No idea where boycotting China will put an end to this.
