I can't even sing happy birthday on key!

You know how the 'Performance Assistant Technology' feature that Yamaha has in the PSR3000 that assures every note you play will fit the music -- no wrong note will sound -- no matter what you are playing pressing -- chords arpeggio etc?

If they can add the Performance Assistant Technology to the vocalizer, LOOK OUT ...

I always wanted to yodel.
Maybe that could be one of the preset buttons.

I'm awaiting the VSB - the Variable Synthesis Blocker! This little tool shall block all frequenced synthesises of the sampled sounds which sounds noisy and dirty. I've heard that the user interface shall be come as a new clone of the old computer game 'Pong'. That should make it easier to block the corrupted sounds but it requires a high skill and a fast hand...

If I had a VSB to take out the undesirable sounds, My vocals would just be pink sound.

Hi,
it's the vocoder mode, vocal harmony balance wet and playing the melody extremly legato. And so you can turn spoken words to singing.
If you have access to the Roland Discover 5 promotion video, you can hear the result (with Yamaha it's similar)

I tried singing, OMG what's this world coming to, yesterday. The sound..........well the idea of a hyena comes to mind right now.

Here I thought I'd be an instant Scott Yee.

Well, maybe with a little practice of my vocal cords and also playing around with them there controls. Probably, mostly playing around with the controls.

Hey, this reminds me of some gadget that will make anybody sound like Frank Sinatra or Elvis etc.

How about that..Is that for real? Anybody ever try one of these? Maybe there's hope for me yet. haha. Although, oddly enough, I really don't have that much interest in singing. As a trumpet player, I thought that the only reason we needed a singer was so I could rest my lip. haha.

Scott
