Hi ho,

I've just downloaded the drivers for a Delta 44 soundcard (from the official Midiman site) and I haven't got a clue how to instal the thing.

Basically when I extract the main download file, all I seem to get is 7 or 8 small files (most of which seem to be either read me files or files of an unrecognised format).

I've been playing around with it for about an hour and I can't figure out where to go from here. Could anyone point me in the right direction with this one?

Thanks

PS- Using Windows XP

I'm sorry - I can't help you.
I'm not too familiar with the subject.
But it's good to see you back, 'cause you haven't been posting for a while!

PS
I'll see if I can find out anything that might be useful to you.

I don't use XP but I guess it is not much different as most windows versions.

Go to the hardware section and choose add new hardware, soundcard, then instead of windows looking for new devices choose the path where you extracted the delta files, it will now automaticly detect the drivers.

Take care,
Fred

Thanks guys and special thanks to 33whatever for making me feel young and wanted again!

I managed to sort the thing out, but it was a bit of a nightmare and it involved me taking the sound card out, then putting it back in again, then going to the control panel, going to System, then Device Manager, the Hard Ware profiles followed by a handstand, two cartwheels and a flying kick...

...I'm sure you get the idea.

Anyway thanks for your help and all is well.

Sounds like the nightmare alright!
I had to go through the same kinda thing couple of years ago, when I had to open my old Mac 7100 to find out what the serial numbers on some of the Pro Tools cards were...
Installing newbus cards is bad enough, but removing and installing.....that sucked.

PS
I actually have a 22 year old blond female flight attendant to make me feel young and wanted. you should try the same kinda thing.

Over and out
