It's great to see you found your way here Anne. You will find a number of other users of the Tyros on the General Arranger Forum and just use the "Search" link and enter Tyros to read all the previous postings on topics that may interest you.

I don't know because I'm using a Yamaha V-50 for hacking the keys and I'm living in Germany what lies well known in Europe...

For sound creation I'm basically using a Kurzweil K2000RS with 8MB ROMpler and 64MB RAMpler. So I have all - ROMpler, RAMler and FM synthesis.

I got to thinking, which at my age can be somewhat dangerous, about a fun song that I often use for birthday parties. Just thought I'd share them with the forum members. It's an upbeat country song that is real easy to perform and makes the birthday parties a lot more fun.

ANOTHER YEAR OLDER, ANOTHER BUDWISER

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MUG
NOW IT'S BEECHWOOD AGED
THEY CALL ME THE KING OF BEERS
CAUSE I'M QUITE A CASE
WHAT USED TO BE A SIX-PACK
NOW LOOKS LIKE A CASE
SO MUCH FOR THE THEORY
ABOUT MY HOLLOW LEG

CHORUS:
NOW I'M ANOTHER YEAR OLDER
ANOTHER BUDWISER
ONE MORE YEAR IN THE CAN
I ANIN'T GETTIN' ANY YOUNGER
I AIN'T DEAD YET, EITHER
JUST ANOTHER YEAR OLDER
ANOTHER BUDWISER

I USED TO SET MY WATCH BY MILLER TIME
I WON THE PABST BLUE RIBBON
THE HINIKIN MANEUVER DIDN'T SAVE MY LIFE
YOU SEE, THERE WAS SOMETHING MISSIN'
I'M SURE I'VE TAPPED THE ROCKIES
AND CHANGED A WHOLE LOT OF TUNES
BUT THEN A MAN, A DOG AND A COUPLE OF FROGS
WOULD TURN ME ON TO THIS BREW

CHORUS:

SEEMS THE OLDER I GET
THE BETTER I WAS
SO HERE'S TO ME AND MY HISTORY
ANOTHER ROUND OF BUD

CHORUS:

(ENDING) WHEN YOU BUDWISER, YOU'VE SAID IT ALL...

Enjoy,

Gary

Sorry, never checked out the bar before! I haven't hung out in bars since before I met my husband 6 years ago!

I'm 31 - so nice to not be the oldest in the room!

IMHO you see more yammies in the US because they are easier to find.
You can start out with the lower priced PSR's at almost any Dept. store. (k-mart, sears, Best Buy) You can start out for a hundred bucks when you outgrow that machine you can spend a couple hundred more for an improvement. And you don't have to learn a whole new machine.
Most other brands the low end is 5 or 600 hundred dollars and then it upgrades to a couple thousand with not much in between.

Mike, I am sure you are right. You have hit is dead center. Thank you for your insight.

Sheriff, I know what ram and rom is but what is ramler and rompler?

Anne, Welcome to my World. This is a song that Don Mason sings so well. Get a copy from him and you will melt.

Gary, neato song. Sure would like to hear you sing it. How about an upload

Carrie, Welcome to the bar. It is nice to have some young ladies join us. What keyboards do you have/play?

This post is getting pretty long and slow. Maybe it is time to start a new one or maybe just close it up. What say Boss Nigel?

Hi Bebop!

I've got a Yamaha PSR-3000, CS6x and a Korg Triton Rack. Just not enough time to play them at the moment!

Oh, well, that's absolutely easy to explain...but I don't know it too. I just thought it would sound very cool...

EDIT: Well, now I know it I'm afraid...
With a ROMpler I meant a ROM-player
in order to a RAMpler with which I meant a RAM-player (that's always the same like a sampler). Okay, next time I'll use a more known vocabulary...
I can't speak english (like you can see in all my postings) but I tried to speak a cool english. What's on with me? Okay, I'm learning to tune up my english...
