I've just got the classic 80's beast - DX7, but with no instructions. I know the principles of the synthesis, but for some reason, I can't get my patches to save!

Any tips??

Yes, if you can deal with PDF versions of manuals. Go here, and enter the model number: http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/search.php?div=emi

I hope that helps.

There are quite a few websites devoted to the DX7 listed on http://www.synthzone.com/yamaha.htm

I also have quite a few banks in sysex format available at http://www.synthzone.com/midi/yamaha/dx7/
