Is it possible in the UK, to get a usb port fitted to my 9000 PRO so that I can store and play midi files on a memory stick as well as the floppy disc drive ?

Ross, your 9000 is the PRO..that has a SCSI port..I think..
Several years ago I purchased a SCSI to USB adapter[Xircom]..It was faulty and burned out..I finally got the company to agree to replace it...and before they did ..it was out of production..
If you locate another brand of this type of an adapter...please let me know..

I have a SCSI CD drive made by Phillips that works well on the PSR9000. It doesn't record but it does load material from the cd into the keyboard. Bebop
Thanks for your advice guys, yesI do want to store and play my midi files on stage using a memmory stick ot thumb drive, will a simple scsi to usb cable do the trick or will I neee a converter?
OK, thanks for your help and advice, I will try various ways of doing this and I will let you know how I get on, I need midi files to produce a big sound on stage, I love my 9000pro and I know floppy discs are getting hard to find and they have let me down on stage in the past, I will keep you informed of my progress....Stay safe...Best wishes, Ross
I bought an external cd drive with a scsi and bought a scsi to half pith scsi lead and connected it up to the 9000pro, I burnt a cd of my floppy disc midi files and put it in the cd drive, the 9000 pro recognised that the cd was there and thet the cd was titled midi files BUT it did say this cd is not supported, so you were right it will not read the application, unlike the pc would.
I have had a hard disc installed on the 9000 pro, I have figured out how to load my midi files from the floppy disc to the hard disc BUT I dont know how to play the midi files from the hard disc drive, the keyboard only wants to play midi files from the floppy disc drive, do you have any idea as to how I can play them direct from the hard disc drive? Thanks, Ross
