Hello All!
I have several disks of my old
recordings on Yamaha SY-77.
But there is no Sy77 (I've sold it).
Can Anybody help to convert these
files to standard midi ones???
I Know that Sy-99/85 can read sy-77 files
and save *.Mid. If I will e-mail my files
to anybody Who have Sy-99/85, is it possible to read sy-77 file, save .mid
and Send to me back???
Thanks.
Segoro.

Ya know, you might be able to read the files on a PC with something like File Manager. This is true of the Yamaha MDF2 and 3. If so you could use the sequences by changing the file extension (rename or save as) from i.e. MYSEQ.Sxx where Sxx is the sequence number to MYSEQ.mid . Stick em in your computer and see if they read.mn

Well I don't have a Sy99 but I do have a SY77. You will not be able to change the extension name of these files to make them useful. The only thing I can do for you is load your files into my SY77 and then it can send the sequence data to my pc and be recorded as a sysex file. If you can deal with a sysex file then this will be useful to you. But other than having a SY99 this is your only hope. Let me know if I can help.
