I know it's a long shot, but I am looking to buy a used Yamaha P-80. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Have had zero luck with the online auctions.

No one in their right mind will sell a P80 this soon in it's short life. The thing is awesome, and will probably sell for the same price used as if new. My advice - buy the first one you find - you won't be sorry, and you'll NEVER be stuck with it! Can't blame you for asking, but I doubt that you'll find a used one in the near future.

My local music store here in south texas is retailing these for 949.00 plus tax. Is this price competitive? Is the keyboard action as good on the S80 & is it worth the extra money? (S80 retails for 1445.00)

Thanks Uncle Dave for all your help - your advice has helped me considerably!

Those are very competitive prices. Both keyboards have excellent actions, but they are different. The P80 action is a graded action tailored specifically for piano. It wouldn't make sense to use that sort of action for an instrument designed to be a master controller like the S80, which incidently has aftertouch.
