Hi Folks , a friend of mine has a KN5000 and has just recently purchased a KN6500 .
there are some styles and sounds that are unique to the KN5000 .
On saving these styles to a floppy disk and then loading the disk into the kn6500 ..the kn6500 does not load the sounds and styles .

I was of the opinion that the kn6500 would easily read the kn5000 data ?

any help would be appreciated .

Hi.

The style (patten) have to be copied into KN5 composer bank before save to floppy.

I suggest to read the manuals, because this can be done in several ways. KN5000 have
a feature where you can fill into custon bank several styles and save/load in one file.

Also some sounds and settings have to be done at the KN6500 after loaded before save
again as more permanent data, because of the changes done in hard and software from
Kn5 to KN6.

Anyway, I'm sure you will get lots of additional help from the technics gang here.
