Thanks Bob, but you being more proficient it this than I, I can only assume I am missing something here.
First, I lost the names when I restored it using SD Explorer. Secondly, how am I going to re-enter the long names when I thought they were safely tucked away in my pc and now gone ? I can tell some, but guess at others. Luckily, I did save and print some indexes of older cards.

Years ago I was working with my Kn7000, I had just put in 2 hours on a nice set up. I started the save procedure, which I knew quite well, pressed all the needed buttons, and then press save.
I still have not forgotten the next few moments -- I press saved, waited, my wife said something to my about dinner -- so I shut the keyboard off. OUCH!!!
The SD card showed only numbers, all titles were gone. I could load them, that worked, but their were no names. So I started to load and rename, it took a long, long time.
