The thing that worries me about the new keyboard, whatever it's called, is whether my wife will finally throw me out when I get it - "What, another one, out you go and take them with you."..........
Is anyone else like me and spends weeks eagerly anticipating the new board only to arrive at the shop and feel so guilty at leaving the 'old' keyboard there in part exchange. I always feel like I abandoned it! Last time I even made the dealer promise he would send it to a good home and someone who would appreciate it!!! Mind you I am the same with my car Tony

I think you are correct. Isn't the number 4 rendered as "Shii" which is also the name of "Death"? For this reason, some superstitious prefer "yon".(Superstition is hard to imagine in modern technology.)
in fact there was little change in the actual voices from 3000 to 5000, with very few new voices. The doubling of wave rom meant that the same samples came out better with more dsp power available too, and the improved speaker system helped considerably.
the nx chip was a much bigger step forward overall.
