I never get any answer of my last topic. I´ts look strange to me that none of you had heard about the new SD-cards. Here in Sweden I have seen it in two sizes 256mb is about 120$ and the 512mb is about 220$. I read that the ULTRA cards can load 9-10mb in 1 sec. Anyone know how fast it is compared with the usual SD card?
Does anyone know if this could work on the 7000 or is the 7000:s software too slow?

I doubt you will see any difference in the 7000. In fact there are only a few professional digital slr cameras where you might see a difference when taking sequential raw shots and filling the buffer completely. Most interfaces are too slow to take advantage of the full speed. You will see a difference only in transferring very large numbers of very big files to computer, and then not through a usb 1.1 interface, you'll need a usb2 or firewire interface.

I've tested different SD cards with a virtual 5:1 speed difference in laptop transfer, and when saving and loading on the 7000 you can hardly tell any difference (this includes audio transfer) because the files are so relatively small.

SPeaking of SD Cards, I have a question.
I just got a new laptop Toshiba Satelite P25 609S and it has an SD card slot. My Sony VAIO has the Panasonic SD USB Reader/Writer attached to it for the KN7000.
The question is:
Can I put data files on the sd card from the Sony Desktop and bring them into the new laptop using the Sd card and writer?
Appreciate any help on this.
I have a 256MG Cigar that I am using for this and it works fine too.
