Hello All,

It was observed that at the kn7000, Floppy drive light On the floppy disk itself (I don't refer the disk led on the panel) is on as soon as the instrument is on, and stay on all the time as long as the instrument is on, regardless if I read from the disk or I write to the disk.

Question:

Is there any way to have the floppy disk (on the floppy disk itself) light off when not reading/writing to the floppy drive, and to have it on only when reading or writing to a floppy disk, as it is on desktop computers?

Bill,

As per usual you're quite right. But an interesting point I've noticed on the 6K is that I've got a little red LED to the right of the 'board which flashes when the drive is in use as well as the green LED on the drive itself.

I can't say I've noticed in on Luce's but I'll have a look.

Bye for now,

Mark
