anyone familiar with this midi orchestra can you tell me what it might be worth, was or is it considered a good unit.
I've played with the KN7000 for a couple of hours today and I might sell the tyros and keep the technics. Nah I'm kidding I'm too lazy to learn a new operating system. Beside the KN7000 has been sold.

I don't know much about the SM-AC1200 except that it was a MIDI module version of the KN1200 and released just after the KN2000. (1994)

The KN1200 was my first Keyboard, great at the time, was very satisfied with it, changed it for a 6000. Walter.

I bought one of these on e-bay a couple of months ago and paid $550 for it. There was another one sold on e-bay earlier in the year for about the same price. I have a KN6000 and use it with a midi accordion, I felt the little one would be easier to take out on a gig and it is. It does an adequate job but nothing close to the KN6000. When I do solo gigs I take the 6000 and when I go with a full band I just use the little one for extra instruments like vibe, sax and organ. It is relatively easy to use with a lot of the KN functions, just not as many sounds and rythmns. It has a floppy based system and panel memories to save stuff on. I like it.

if not thanks anyhow for the very helpful info, I tried the unit with a couple SMF's and it sounded good.
