I am sequencing several songs in the Big Band style and I cannot get the sequencer to accept an "ending" as part of the performance. It plays the "intro" instead of the ending. Has anyone had that problem and if so have you come across a solution? I have only had the KN6000 for a few months.

I have not seen such a problem. I do very much records with the sequencer. Is your problem only in the BigBand-group or also in other rythm-groups?

You can try the following:

1.) make a realtime-record with some measures including intro (as you normaly do).
2.) go into step-record and choose part CTR
3.) scroll to the end of the track and have a look for a * (=asteriks) (should be the last * of this track.
4.) move the cursor on this position and have a look on the display. It should show you ENDING1 (or in your case: INTRO 1).
5.) delete this * and press ENDING1

maybe this helps.

Thank you Herbert for your help. I tried your idea and it didn't work, but it suggested another idea that I tried and it did work.

I recorded the Ending selection while recording in "Realtime" record and it took the ending as I selected it.

Thanks again!!

Hi
Your problem is that you must have a starting point! If you go to STEP REC then to the actual channel and push the START-button in earliest position on the measure, then you have no problems to put in the ENDING. The best choice is to have such things on a CONTROL-channel. You can do this in the PART ASSIGN. I always use channel 5 for the CONTROL but you can take another, be shure to always use the same channel as CONTROL.
In a CONTROL-channel you can registrate almost everything exept notes!
Good luck

Thank you very much for your suggestion. It worked perfectly.

I only have one other problem with my KN6000 as follows:

I can't get the sequencer to play any of the first 4 technichords on the list of 14. The red technichord light lights up but only one note plays.

Do you have that problem, and if so, have you found a way around it?
