Okay, I just found this in an antique mall, for $75.00. It sort of works, but I'm not 100% sure. I tried connecting it to my Crown CE1000 amp, and got a faint sound out of it, and a low hum. If anyone has any advice I would greatly apprecitate it. It's in farily good condition, although it was used, due to the ciggerett burns. I may need to try an organ amp. Also there is this one cord I'm not sure what it's for? One goes with the pedal, which I was surprised to find, the other is a 1/4 inch male cable?

Thanks Fred, actually I did a Google search and found that site.

Okay now for the Bad News, the organ only powers up, with no sound. I am going to have to find someone in the Maryland or DC area or in the Mid Atlantic area that could fix it.

If you're not afraid you might try to fix it yourselve.
Since you bought it in a kind of pawn shop it probably isn't used in 20 years plus...

This mostly means that all the contacts and pots are oxidated/corroded
Just open the case and clean ALL contacts(specially the switches) and ALL Pots!
Als look at the line output if the jack still makes contact.
Look for loose wires, often caused by turning a Pot which came loose..

I fixed an old Yamaha CS30 as above which was trashed by the owner.
60 minutes work and sold for euro 800,--

Reparing by some tech will cost you much more as the organ itself...

Good luck,
Fred

That is a possibility, since I was able to get some sound out of it. Maybe it needs some cleaning.

forgot to mention:
Use a good contact cleaner spray. They usually come with a small straw for precision and to get the spray in pots.
There are sprays for cleaning and there are sprays to absorb the dirt.

You need them both!

Fred

Oops You probably know this, but before you start UNPLUG the powercord!

Thanks Fred, anything else I should know? I know mine is an early model for the US about 1964? I couldn't find a plaque with the model number or serial number anywhere?

Thanks justin,

Okay here is something I figured out. I had been plugging the amp into the wrong spot. Turns out I had my amp plugged into the Pedal Output. I did not realize, that the cord with the 1/4" jack was to plug into an amp. However I did try this and still no sound through the amp, however I am getting sound from the keybaord, faintly. Obviously I need to find an amp to go with this organ, and see if that's the problem, before I pop this thing open, or to have it serviced.

I recall you mentioning that you had your OMNI serviced once. May be the same guy can help you revive old Farfisa as well?
