I would like some advice on a kb stand that will accommodate my 7000 and a laptop, and maybe a mic as well.
I am using an Apex with a shelf on the top supports, but it is centered directly in front of my face. I know Qwiklok or one of them has an adjustable shelf, but I don't know the model. I want something easy to set up for jobs.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

Bernie

Bernie, I had the same problem with my Apex..Fortunately my key board has a space to my left that will allow the laptop to sit on the top ..I use a double brace X stand[Stage] with a mic boom.. This set up works well for me, and actually is more stable than the Apex..PS; my keyboard is a Roland G1000[no speakers so I have room for laptop]..

Thank you Tony and Fran

Fran,as you know, with speakers in my kb,the laptop is going on a shelf somewhere.I think a boom on a stand would be good.
Tony
Scott used to post here a while back. Maybe I can find out just what he is using. His setup looks good.
Thanks
Bernie

Bernie ...... I believe the photos on Scott's site were actually photos of another member's gear - 'Uncle Dave' - 'Uncle' can be reached at the S-Z Gen Arr KB site .....

Hi Bernie,
What you want is a Quicklok Workstation Stand. Not only has this got attachments for computers, mics, speakers, 2nd keyboard, music rest, etc. but it is so sturdy that you can stand on it and paper the ceiling ;>). I have had one through my last 5 keyboards and it is still going strong.

I just updated the shots of my KB/LT stand at the general arranger forum. It shows my PA80 and the laptop mounted with it. I have since modified it to move the laptop even lower to the keyboard, without loosing any access to keys or buttons.
