Most of the time I am busy with woodworking projects. Several upcoming surgeries, which I am not looking forward to,

Here's a link to my latest projects

Keep up the good work, Gary! Doctors were right to call you "a fighter"; your attitude is really powerful!

Always good to hear from you, Sergey. I just got home a few days ago from a week in the hospital, battling a bout of sepsis, which nearly did me in. I have another surgical procedure scheduled for the 12th of May, and if I survive it, I promise to come back to the site and post more often. The docs said I should be prepared to spend at least 2 to 5 days in the hospital recovering before returning home. (Keeping my fingers crossed) If you don't see me here two weeks after the surgery, well, it has been my distinct pleasure knowing everyone here for these many, many decades.

All the best,

Gary cool

Thinking about it, it's sure been many years here at SZ and at other forums like PSR.
It's been a great honor and pleasure to know you as well.

Wishing you all the best Gary! 👍🌞

Gunnar, it has been my pleasure to know you for all these many decades.

Tomorrow is the big day. The incissional hernia will be robotically repaired and the procedure should take about 2 hours under general anesthesia. The hernia has dissected a bit and is now the size of a large grapefruit that has been sliced in half. The repair will consist of the implanting of a surgical mesh distal to the stoma. They say I will be hospitalized for 2 to 5 days after the surgery (fingers crossed).

All the best,

Gary cool

I had this exact repair done in March (although my hernia was a little smaller than a tennis ball.) You'll have pain for the first couple of days but I'm almost 100% recovered now. Wishingyou swift and complete healing!!

18 days has passed. 🤔
I really hope that the surgery and treatment went well, and that you're in speedy recovery Gary. 🤞
All the best! 🌞
