Hi John,
Many thanks for your prompt response and your kindness for the Styles. I will really appreciate if you could give me some advices :
1- Did you create the styles you sent me from Midi files or by playing on midi keyboard ?
2- If you create them from midi file and a software sequencer like Cubase or Logic Audio:
(I know that all the software sequencer tracks should b setup to 1!!)

2.1. How do you define the separate parts(Intro, Variations, Fills &
Ending) / Using Composer Part -> REC-A, REC-B -> MEM1, MEM2,
MEM3,........ {More}
2.2. Is MEM1,MEM2 ,,,,,, for Variations part and {More} for Intro, Fill,
Ending?
2.3. What is the role of Memory(A-B) & Bank(A-B) bottoms in Recoding by
Composer part and in playback?
2.4. How do you link them together to get one XXX.CMP file
2.5. How do you save them within one XXX.CMP file ? (In Composer part->
"Naming" or trough "Disk Drive " bottom ?
2.6. How do you define/or changing the instrument in each track while
you're using Composer part.

Many thanks again and remain
Best regards

Hi , I've got 2 smac 1200 units they are great , pity technics never continued and developed this product .

All the questions you are asking are too technical for me !!
I have converted midi files to styles for the unit ,i used a conversion prog called "EMC universal conversion soft ware "it is very good !!!

Do you have the user manual for your smac ?

regards .........Giovanni

PS even though the smac is at least 12yr old it is still a very good expander /arranger I've gigged with it for years with my midi accordion !!
if you require any styles i have a lot just let me know what you are looking for !if i have it I'll e mail ....OK

Hi Giovanni,
Thanks for your Email. I have an user's manual but the explanations on creating Styles are not very clear ! Have you ever created the styles from midi files directly by SM-AC 1200.I have heard that Styles created by the instrument itself sound much better than the one made by a software like EMC. Is it true ? Yes.please I'm interested in your styles. Please send my them all by the email. I will really appreciate your kindness! If you have any news on how to create styles for SM-ARC 1200 please let me konw (A kind of summary guid on couple of lines) . Kind regards
