Hi just a quick question I need to set right, editing my registrations
Pressing save, head to gig and end up with some being too loud bass boom or lost drums,
next song could blow the roof Off the venue, in other words no even balance, I need to know how I can achieve best performance, where to set the lefthand sliders drums bass etc, internal drums and bass I set on full to 63 bring all external left sliders to full except drums bass leave at 8 instead of full 10, I also keep right hand to 8, and main master volume half way, press save once happy with editing, what am I doing wrong to say I'm not getting an even sound balance,
It's a process now where I'll have to set up my full pa and go through each song reg one by one,
So do bring all sliders half way or over the flat line, I have no idea,
please help 🤔 thanks

Hello.
The solution of this problem is an Analyser or meter level software tool.
It is a very complicated method but believe me it is the only solution for a good total mastering and total balance of your own styles or sounds.
And the Registrations is a very good solution so we have a very fast and excellent balance.
In all arrangers that I use (Ketron Audya, Ketron SD9, Yamaha Genos, Korg Pa3x) I work this way and believe me I work without ever teasing the master volume of keyboard or style volume.
First we have to say that you have to adjust the Styles/Registrations one by one.
Therefore If you have a PC/Mac with a daw (Cubase, Logic, Reaper, Pro Tools etc), connect the stereo out of Audya in a stereo in of your Audio Interface and follow this:

1) Run your d.a.w

2) Create a audio stereo chanel and set the correct stereo hardware inputs of your audio interface (for example In 1--2).

3) On software input of daw (in this case In 1-2) open a analyser plug in (all the daw include a free analyser) or you simple you can to use the volume meter of chanel however is better to have a good analyser.

4) Find a volume on the key and leave it there. The best would be full volume of Audya and this is what I would suggest so you should therefore probably lower the input level of the audio interface so that you do not have clipping. In a digital audio system, 0dBFS refers to the maximum signal level possible, also known as the clipping point.
Also it would be good not to use any gain of audio interface in order not to add extra coloring or distortion from Pre Amp.

5) Set all sliders of style (Style Master, Drum, Bass, Chords) in the same level (for example 60).
Now select some factory styles and see where the volume ends, for example maybe the peak level at -4 db (like my photo).

Now let's start to set one by one your style and registrations:
1) Select a of your style and let it play a chord without playing anything in the right hand.
Notice where it is at the peak level.
What we want is not to exceed the peak level that we observed in the factory styles (-4db).
If it exceeds the maximum intensity level then the fastest method is simply to lower the Style Master until to approach and not to exceed the maximum peak level (-4db).
2) when we find the desired peak level (-4db) save as single registration and include with the save and the Slider (Page 1-F10) and press Save.
Continue in the same way with the rest styles until you have completed the total style balance.

Yes. Is complicate however Hello. The solution of this problem is an Analyser or meter level software tool.

Yes it is complicated however it is the only way.

Hello, and thank you so much for that information, yes it sounds complicated and a little over my head, but yes definately you are right on saying it really is the only way to go, I have a friend that is a lot more technical minded when it comes to analyser's with regards to his profession, I actually do have reaper and a load of plugins, I will send him on this info you gave me, but I have a gig tonight and I did set up my pa system and performed a listening ear and adjusted accordingly, will it work 🤔 I'll report back to you, but I absolutely with great respect and thanks for your reply, belive your method is key to success,
If only I had the time now to carry this out, only a few hours before my gig 🙄 I suppose there is no video tutorial on how to easily understand step by step, basically carry you by the hand 😉 seriously though thanks a million

Just finished my gig,my registrations work out to a great extent, some has to be touched up, I did notice my right hand piano could do with more volume, but not there, also one major issue,
I had to restart the audya 3 times
Reason being, I could hear notes on right hand kinda off tune, quivery, and once I switched off and back on all was OK, I'm worried why is this happening, good job I play tracks also, but yeah I don't know what's wrong here, 🤔
