Hi all,
Bose finally updated their Line Array Speakers:

Bose L1 Pro8
Bose L1 Pro16
Bose L1 Pro32

The 8 & 16 look interesting for us Keyboard players.
Very compact and powerful to compete with Maui and JBL etc

What do you think?
I am for one excited to trade my L1 Compact for one of those ...
Eric

OTOH, compared with one Compact L1 with 6 speakers, they have added two speakers, reverb, and other mixer settings, XLR out, remote, bluetooth, etc for $300 more. It depends on your needs, I guess.

Plus much bigger sub.
L1 Compact 6 inch sub down to 60Hz
L1 Pro8 has a new sub similar to 12 inch down to 45Hz
That alone makes a huge difference.
It gets a lot louder than the compact according to some user reviews on YouTube.

I haven‘t found anything about the weight in the specs and manuals. Does anybody mention it in the reviews? Specifically the small one?

EDIT: Just found it... 18 kg vs. 11 kg for the old one. That‘s a bummer.

The added weight is due to the 2 added speakers and much bigger sub.
It has a lot more power though ..

18kg (that’s 40lbs in real money!) is a bit much for most elderly players. They complain bad enough at keyboards at that weight point, anyway!

...and many women, too, me included. I‘m thinking about the S1 pro.

I used to have 4 Bose Compacts, and is almost 5 years ago that I got rid of them, do not take me wrong, sound very nice but under powered, overpriced, and found the Maui LD 5 at almost half the price, able to surpass the job of 4 compacts connected, with just 2 LD5s, and have power to spare WITHOUT compromising sound quality, Before the Pandemia, I had for the last 5-6 years, an average of 12 to 18 jobs per month, and for the last 5 with JUST the Pair of Maui LD5s, Never a problem.....also, have bluetooth, etc...Lighter than the Compact......I am a very picky person when comes to sound....and I am VERY happy with this models.

My 2 cents.

Manuel
