the title asks the question. I' looking for the least expensive model that does this. No way I can afford the 4x. Could save for a while and go for the 1000 but in most other areas a 6 or 7 hundred would work for me.

You will only find it on the latest versions of the PA lineup so
PA4X
PA1000
PA700
PA700RD
PA700 Oriental

Don't believe it came in before those models, anyway you could do some homework and get a software that will do it for you and then modify them foryourself to fine tune the end product ( that would be thecheaper way ) but maybe more work for you.

I haven't looked at any Korg software that could do it; but you could use Style Works 2000 Korg Pa 2.0.

If you're not wedded to Korg, the Roland G70, E50, E80 etc. had this facility. Roland also bundled some software with the BK-7m called Style Converter, which was designed to convert a MIDI to a Roland-compatible style. However the later BK's like the BK-9 did not have this feature built into the menus.

I never tried Korg's "bot". But it seems to me like this would be easier with PC software. My $.02.
