Went into the hospital on Sunday night. Came home last night with a 7" Vertical chest cut and a 1" square drain hole. Drained over 800 cc's of liquid from the sac around my heart.

HURTS LIKE HELL!

Treatment of inflammation of the heart sac will take 90 days or more. Still running tests on the virus that caused the infection.

I'll be OK. Thanks for the concern.

Wow that sounds extremely painful. Rest up Russ to make sure you get over this. It sounds like it will take quite a bit of time.

I spoke to Russ over the weekend and despite this traumatic health incident he is still sounding like the Russ I have known for so many years. He definitely needs to rest up to get over this but it seems like he will.

Get well Russ, we miss you.

I talked with Russ for quite a while today and he is recovering real well. Even driving to his studio an hour away and doing some sessions there.

He still has a way to go but it seems to be heading in the right direction.
