When I hit song play mode and look at the list of Mp3 songs
there is a small RED lock icon
(next to the word song?)

what is it and do I need to change it or?
it does not effect song play .....anyone? confused1

Maybe it's locked from editing? I noticed that some songs are locked in my library, but it only affects editing. Were they purchased songs?

do you see the RED lock in song mode list too?
these songs are on USB stick..

I've seen it in iTunes "get info" section. That file has been locked from editing. You can unlock it if you want to rename it or change other metadata, but probably not in the Korg. As you said, you don't really need to do anything to play it though. It was locked to preserve the quality of the sound and title ate the source.

Folder still opened and songs can be played that are inside it...?
but why is it there?

Check your Global/lock and make sure it is not locked there.

it's not a keyboard feature. The lock is embedded in the file, itself.

If you load the file in MixCraft and mixdown (save)..It removes all info and restrictions.

Simply (did I spell that right?) put, you are right - sort of - ...I look at it this way - one can have butter sauce, wine sauce, apple sauce, whatever sauce, but since gravy comes from meat, it is GRAVY not SAUCE ... wink grin
Our Sunday GRAVY was FILLED with meat ... just sayin' ...
