Unit came in late last night due to stormy weather
but today I had some time to get it set up again
and I wanted to share with the Pa1000 Mp3 quick recording of
"Stand By Me" by Ben E. King using the Capri Rhumba style.
enjoy keys

Gee Donny......you took some time!!!!!!
Now stay at ease with it and go down the turning that you have just made. For a first trial recording it sounded quite good and I am sure all of us here are looking forward to the next bunch of recordings.......Well done mate and thanks for sharing!

John

Donny, very nicely done, as I would expect ...
Only thing, while the 'body' of the style certainly works for the song, the intro and ending evoke memories of the Mediterranean and Italy ... would love to hear you do something like that, with a mandolin and/or musette voice ...

Yes hence the style name Tony "CAPRI RHUMBA" a place I have been too a few times
just off the coast of my family's home town.
Thanx for the listen..

Don yes but, instead of using my Shure Sm58 beta
I tried the studio mic Audio Technica AT2035 works pretty well
with the Pa1000..
thanx for listening to my rough.

John....

Waardeer het dat je de tijd neemt om te luisteren. De pa100 heeft TLC nodig, maar als je in het besturingssysteem graaft en weet hoe je het geluid moet bewerken en aanpassen, word je beloond met een aantal hele mooie muziek. Blijf veilig mijn vriend ....

Well done Donny. I have often considered a pa1000 with an sd2 for added rh sounds.

Thanx sparky... Really dont need an Sd2 at all, .... if you know how to use the OS editing sound capabilities you can do just about anything it's very deep sound-wise you can get any sound the way you want on tje Korg .

Donny, just got around to listening - sounds really good, both keyboard and vocals, and though I would have used a simple intro and ending, the style fit the song very well.

Keep em coming, and hang onto that keyboard for more than a few weeks, wink

I took a month off from the Sheriff’s Office to avoid Covid. Spent that time getting my studio cleaned up and organized. I’ll probably be retiring from the Deputy gig this year...so that should give me more time to work on my music.

This is going to turn out the most spectacular and most revealing thread on SZ this year so far, just think about it:

1. Though retired, this guy can sing and sing well smile
2. Though retired, this guy can play and play well smile smile
3. This guy hails from New York but commands DUTCH fluently,
how many suprises can an artist offer his audiences smile smile smile
4. At long last it is revealed: his origins are Napoli, Italy!!!!!

So far so good Donny, keep it up my friend, Forza, forza !!!

Donny, does being Neapolitan/Sicilian make you fluent in Dutch ?!? grin

Not to take this SOUTH, but what part of Naples? My father's family is From Caserta, in fact, the town of Maddalone, my last name ... it was such a thrill to visit there ...

Having a tilt screen is really nice and easy to become accustomed to after a few tyros models. Add touch and it must be that much better.

For me ..
The Tilt up display is an essential feature for many reasons.
Touch screen makes the workflow fast and easy.
The Pa1000 layout is is quite good and navigationaly functional
for live play too. A few sliders would have been nice.
But it's all there for the pro player for sure.
The deep editing capabilities is where Korg shines,
drum kits, styles, sounds , VH, etc,...
