I had a 3x, but the new screen on the 4x was more than enough improvement for me to upgrade. Plus, it's just so sexy, and sleek.

Not trying to argue Dave. But when I saw the new Korgs in a store, it looked to me like the screen was "stretched," i.e., the old 4:3 image from the Pa3X stretched to fit the new rectangular screen. (A bit like when you watch a non-HD channel on a HDTV.) To my eyes it looked a little blurry and distorted. By comparison, the Genos has a slightly larger wide screen, and the graphics are razor-sharp.

I kept hoping Korg might correct this perceived deficiency with a firmware update. I have not seen a Pa4X with the new "dark" mode, is it any better?

Ooooooo Ted, the Dark Mode is really pretty. I think you'll like it.

I would love to see it. But I'll hold out another 4-6 weeks before I poke my head back into the local Guitar Center. For the benefit of all, really hoping that we *don't* have a spike of infections as our economies reopen.
