Now that all the fervor has died down a while after the intro of the sx700/sx900's and there's not 50 posts a day about them here, are you still crazy about yours? Satisfied? Not so much?

Invaluable studio tool, and great backup for live shows in this house ... PLUS - the bluetooth connection comes in handy for quick listen's to all sorts of content.

Plus another one who is happy with his SX900.

Lots of things I like about it:
1.Better on board speakers( I find for rehearsal/practice no need to hook up my Maui 5 or Bose Compact)
2.Touch screen
3.Playlist feature
4.Already mentioned the Bluetooth feature comes in handy for a listen from my iPad or iPhone.

One thing I'd like to see improved with a firmware update is the ability in the Parameter Lock section is to have an option to lock the 2 Assign Control Knobs.

Don't they lock in FREEZE mode?

You have to set up a registration with all your power on settings. Then be sure the box to save controllers to future registrations is NOT checked.
Every time you power up be sure to load your setup registration.

I'm still a believer! Love the SX900! Just told a friend the yesterday that (among other great things we all know it delivers), the 3 voices in the right hand is one of my most appreciated. The assignable buttons are a plus as well. I have no problem w/the OS, and love the way the Playlist works. Plays all the current styles including Genos just fine. Had a 910 and 970, and this one for me is a keeper.

Last night we really enjoyed playing and singing with the SX900. I used it last christmas for a gig and then it just lay there unopened. Boy am I glad to have this keyboard. We enjoyed every bit and now Im looking forward to using it almost daily. I still feel its fresh and relevant.

I am very satisfied with mt SX900 for all of the above reasons. As far as As the two control knobs lock is concerned,I did what I used to have to do with my KN7000. I set the two knobs on balance and keyboard volume, checked the parameter, and re-saved an existing registration. I then unchecked it so it so it was no longer involved in the save function. So far, after many many power on's and registrations, it has not changed from the original assignment.

Love the SX-900. It's just a fun keyboard.

Like Stephen, I too wish the Parameter Lock could be expanded, especially locking in the assignable control knobs. Not crazy about the new style setup. No separate Country or Ballad Style category is hard to get use to.

My last Yamaha arranger was the PSR-3000 so the SX-900 is a major step up, just a little different, and I'm so glad it's here during this "lock down"

I still like mine, but would like a gently used Genos more!

Yes the lock in freeze mode but I would prefer it being a parameter lock. There are work arounds but it would make things a bit easier.

I didn't like it well enough to keep it. I may have kept the Genos, if it was not so wide. Still I prefer the PA4X to either of them. I did like the keys on both the Yammys though.
Still hated the vocal processing/harmonizer.
I like the way the Korg makes my voice sound.
Still, there are no wrong choices...all the modern arrangers are fantastic!
