I've had them all imo ketron, korg, roland doesn't come close to the amazing sound of Tyros5 or 4, in every catagory..... for some reason a much warmer, robust sound,.

I think I have watch all of his videos. He is really a very talented man. I have a Tyros 5 and like it very much. I wish I could play like him. Especially his jazz piano pieces.

This is exactly how you get slammed - posting these "better than sliced bread" comments about EVERYTHING (yes, everything) you own ... WHILE you own it. I was waiting for this one. You held out pretty long though ... more than a month before you pledged your undying affection for the GREATEST keyboard of all time! You crack me up. Seriously.

It’s the same demo that has been used for pretty much all the Tyros range, so is pretty boring these days. Another thing is the demos never tell you what ancillary equipment they use (And the owner will need) to get that sort of sound out. (Speakers that arranger manufacture fob you off with always suck big time)

Believe it or not when I went to his clinic at Orlando Pianos he said in his car his radio is tuned to a classical music station. I seem to remember he mentioned that was also his favorite type of music. No matter nice demo!

Great demo Thanks. It does sound great and the player is top notch but with my limited exposure to other brands of keyboards I'd tend to believe you could sound as good with any of the TOP ones. Just takes a lot of time and patience to work with it and learn the system. Have fun you've got a great keyboard.

I honestly don't even think YOU agree. It's just your impulsive M.O. Not a bad thing, but pretty predictable. I'm glad you like it. really, I am.

I loved that first song and recognized the style from S970, SX900 and Genos. The audio styles will play on the 900 and Genos, but you have to download and put them into the kb.

Donny, It was one of those rare opportunities. I found out a day before he was going to do the clinic in the afternoon then a concert in the evening. I was not able to stay for the evening but I did the afternoon clinic, there were a total of 5 of us it was great.
Audio drums were first introduced to the arranger/organ market in around 2000 by Ketron & Wersi.

Yep,... still do not like them.. ..without being able to edit the style parts I have no use for them. That said there are too many great styles to use besides audio styles.

I am not a fan of the audio drums either. - Cannot edit - Sound terrible when trying to change (slow down) the tempo. - When performing, the the change in sound is too drastic when playing a song with normal styles to audio styles.
The styles have nice intros, endings and variations and have been converted to regular styles by players. Those are the ones I use.

..."Ketron doesn't come close..." This is a true statement indeed. Ketron can't lead and come close at the same time. Others try to catch up to it's capabilities and technology such as Audio styles ... etc, but it just keeps ... leading and not coming close.

I miss Michael Voncken's presentations.
Although Peter Bartmaans is a great player, the average person could not mimic most of his playing. I apply more of Michael Voncken's techniques and songs to my own performances. (except for the Schlager material).

Exactly right. Voncken was doing what most people who have an arranger want to do and believe they could pull off (whether they actually could or not) . They admire Bartmaans but most can never perform at that level.
