Any idea why some styles on my Sd40 after mabey 20/30 sec jump noticably louder in volume? . Very strange

Are you using the most current OS update? Are these factory styles or conversions?

I think im uptodate in the software version, but yes it appears its converted styles i believe, i need to double check

What I discovered is MANY of the converted styles simply don't play well - some not at all - on the my SD40 and the same is true of my SD7. However, most of the converted styles were very good.

Hi,Its the same for me on my sd60 and it is normal
you will have to tweak the styles from audya when you convert
them has .kst
I had try my audya backup and convert to .kst and the audio drums and voices is not the same, the sounds are loud some time
and some audya styles ae ok like Hammer told you
P/S If I convert an audya pattern with audio drums you will not
have a good result for .kst

If you've kept your styles/patterns from your audya machines you can convert most styles directly with your SD60.
I just did the test and the majority of my patterns I had on THE AUDYA work!

And first try all the internal styles that are superb... on some styles you even have 2 lines of "drums" on the same variation.
Read, read and reread the manuals and carefully observe the screen and the different control buttons
Because if you have convert a Roland style EMC to ketron X1
sometime the sound will be loud if you convert to .kst
For me tweak is to arrange a pattern ex: change the voices,drum,
volume etc
