I have a KN6500 (bought second hand a couple of weeks ago, so not really up to speed with the workings as yet) which was playing OK until last night. All of a sudden it sounds as though all the chords are flat and throws out the whole tune. I have been using floppy discs - saving from my tutor's keyboard (KN6500 too) she has a hard disc. Can anyone please help, I've looked in the book but can't find anything that might relate to it.

Hi Truden,

If the problem won't clear it might pay to initialize the instrument back to factory settings.

My kn6000 used to do similar things, only it used to re-initialize itself.

Hope you get it sorted soon

Kind regards

Peter

Hiya Trudy
Likely as not it is the wheel on the left hand side that should be in a central position but has stuck below or above that point - that throws the melody notes out of kilter with the chords, it should be used for bending the melody notes...

Make sure you save any work before initializing, try all else first.

Hi , I had a similar problem with my KN7000 keyboard which is connected via midi to my Concerto digital accordion .

It just suddenly happened .

I agree with Walter !! the foot switch had latched on and had set it self to the glide setting !! causing the keyboard from the split point to be a semi tone out .

Thank god it did not happen on a gig !!

regards .........Giovanni norwich England
