I'm 72, so not sure about taking that much time for each thing...but I do think the approach is a good one!

Me too. Between family, work, and preparing for different gigs, it would be a hard to plan to put into practice. Good in theory for those who have the time and dedication.

Have to agree with Bernie, way too daunting, there aren’t enough spare hours in the day as is.

Mark, this is how I learned my style of playing guitar. I listened without ceasing. No memorizing what was written in the book. Read it, play through t a few times, then buy the record and listen. Music is all about feel.
When we listen, we come up with a mixture of the original player and ourselves.

Must admit , miss Scott and Ian too.

Rikki...there were others. Who did I forget?

Those really were good days when everyone was working on getting better and open and receptive to the many ideas being floated around.

Hi Mark,
There’s a few I really miss, but not sure if they’re someone you would have known.
Went thru a soft synth/ software arranger phase, Nigel even gave us our own forum. Frank Rosenthal is someone I really miss. Don’t know what happened to him. I’ve had the odd break from the forum on a few occasions. When I came back,he wasn’t wasn’t around anymore .

How embarrassing, just checked the old posts, boy did I talk a lot in those first couple of years.

Bernie, I hadn’t realised you were on that forum to that extent also.

We used to hear a lot more from Nigel, and you might have known Scott Langholf

I'd say it partly true. Pay most attention to whatever your trying to master but don't neglect to listen to whats going on around it. As the Jazz Guys say Listen with "Big Ears"
