Does anyone have any info on the new Wersi Keyboard to be released soon, the present Wersi keyboard (Abacus) has tremendous recomendations from all who play it!

A picture of the new Wersi keyboard can be found at http://www.organfax.co.uk/news.html

Does anyone know of links to Mp3's recorded from the Wersi Abacus keyboard and also any links where you can download the manual for the Abacus?

Many thanks in advance for any info / help

Peter

I've discovered this morning that Wersi keyboard prices arfe nice as well over £4,000 and at the moment you can only buy from Germany direct

Bit of a no go for me this one

I thought the Tyros was high priced at over £2,000

Yes, high prices, but Wersi is quite another
instrument too.
Also all ugrades are done by software CD, and works about the
same way as you swap OS on your PC, and for a very reasonable
price.
We have dealer in our country, but it's cheeper to import it
by ourselves.

Hi Peter,
a friend of mine imported one into Australia.
He loves it.
Cost him an absolute fortune. Could have easily bought a kn & a tyros for the same price (discounted)and had money left over.
I think he's gone from version 2 to 3 all the way up to version 5.27 ( I think he said,
( sounds like a lot of updates for vers 5
( haahaa)

He's had a few midi hassles with it along the way ( he has a fairly complicated home studio recording set up that requires midi)

I think for the updates he gets new software, but, I think he's also had to update the odd piece of harware as well.
I think he's had to go from the original windows 98 to xp with the latest version.
Costs a bit to keep udated, but probably still cheaper than replacing a keyboard every 2 years.

Either way he loves it . ( he also has the kn7 and a ketron)
best wishes
Rikki

You know, they build those Wersis for each customer,
and put in it what you want to have.
This also affect the price and how much to spend
later on.....
Good consept, I know a earlier Technics and Yamaha
user who loves his Abacus.

Hmm... love it, I think that's only the first name.

The new IKARUS looks very interesting from its pics. However, Wersi UK tell me that they have no plans for stocking this keyboard in the near future. It is available in Belgium at the moment at a price of 4995euro (about £3500) with a bonus of a free subwoofer - the keyboard only has "monitor" speakers. If anyone wants further details, email me.

I read that Yamaha does the same with their new to produce organ.
So in the future they will do it with keyboards too and other companies follow I think.

Hi there,

New to this board - lots of nice info.

just wanted to update this thread since an English PDF doc with all details is to be found on this site: http://www.xstence.com

The guy behind this site (Rick Vivaldi) is an artist and technical advisor to Wersi. There is also a Wersi-specialized forum there which has all support info for anyone interested.

I've managed to locate 10 Demo tracks recorded on the Wersi Abacus Keyboard.

The soon to be released Ikarus keyboard weighing just 20KG and priced at £2,995 has got my vote on the best move to replace the KN7000, don't be fooled by the price, it's worth every penny.

More than happy to email the demo's 1 at a time to anybody who would like to have a listen.

Please email me at:

peterloudon@wight365.net

Kind regards

Peter

I'd love to know what others on the forum believe to be the replacement for our KN7000's

Make sure when you check out other makes you listen to the organ voices, Technics were light years ahead of other manufacturers.

Wersi is light years ahead of them all in this field.

Kind regards

Peter
