I must say that G70 still sound very good. Not as cheesy as the modern arrangers.

With cheesy I mean to sweet. That’s why I don’t like most arrangers anymore today. They sound to sweet. Not only Yamaha but also Korg. Another problem especially with Yamaha raat they use way too much effects on the sound. I don’t like that either I want a clean sound with a little reverb. That’s why I still prefer the sound of the Korg pa80. It use a real synth engine the Triton and I like that sound. Good news for me Korg will release a Korg Triton for the iPad soon. The G70 demo from Fran also doesn’t sound cheesy. Sound a little like music from the eighties my fav music period.

Hmmmmm?..I see, ...all that you mention can easily be suited, tweaked, and tailored to your own individual sound tastes easily.
If it's a cheesless synth workstation you desire there are also many many choices on the market to play also...

Its easier to change an instrument to your liking with less effects already but how much you change an Yamaha arranger it still sound cheesy.
