In reality … that is nonsense.. I have used an Apex for decades, with real keyboards smile

All with 76 keys... G1000 (41 pounds), G70 (46 pounds), and MediaStation (56 pounds). grin

If anything the keyboards win the battle against kids (CrabTrap) or drunks (Alfes).. grin

As a sitting low player I had to CUT down the center post of all my APEX stands
about a foot in order to see the audience making it a single tier stand.
I think Bernie has it now. That said yes you have to be a bit careful using it by it's design
but I never had a problem,....personally I'd rather use my Ultimate Support IQ2000
double braced X stand with Lok-memory mic boom attached.

SO not nonsense - I've had people bump the edge more than once, and the whole structure almost tipped

The thing is... your keyboards weigh less than the Apex (designed for real keyboards). It would take a lot of effort to knock over Apex with the keyboards I mentioned.
A kid weighing the same weight as the keyboard could sit on the keyboard and not knock it over grin
Don't try it with a plastic keyboard.. smile

Your set ups and Donny's only need an X stand (even single braced) shocked

What do you expect from a guy that plays a keyboard invented by Thomas Edison.

Donny, I cut the top of my stand also. I use an iPad horizontally.

The iPad sits on the music stand, which rests on my cut down stand. No need for all the other stuff.
John C.

PS,I’m thinking of buying a larger tablet, the larger iPad is a bit too expensive. Any suggestions?
