Seems like we're having some fun with Christmas/Holiday songs I thought I would post this one ...
I made the backing track on my technics Kn6000 a number of years ago ...
Same as before, I'm looking for other versions, and I think this is one DonM will do a great job on ...

I did this one Saturday using the Genos. There are several reasons I stopped using it. One reason is that I keep missing chords, not being used to 76 keys. You'll hear that in the guitar ride. Another reason is that I'm spoiled by the Korg vocal harmonizer. I'm too used to being able to engage it WHILE I'm singing a note. In time I would adjust to both of these things.
Anyway here's Blue Christmas:

Super Job Dave! Were I in Philadelphia - I'd find your club and beat that woman to the front table - and I wouldn't be doing any cackling! Just sayin'! Very nice rendition and use of a great SX900 style for that tune!

Tony - thanks so much! My Dad was an old "Nickelodian" style piano player and he hammered the keys way late most every night as I "slept" on the other side of the wall. HA HA. I heard lots of country songs from Pops and to boot, my GrampPap was a self-taught mandolin and fiddle man. Every time they got together, I got even more educated. smile So thanks. Love the country stuff! Lots of wonderful versions of that song here - including Mr T's! Just sayin'!

Anyway here's Blue Christmas:

Sounds great Don, but I can understand why you prefer the Korg.

Rikki, great rendition of Blue Christmas. Good pickin' for a Down Under Gal.

Donny, thanks for the compliments - I tried to do it as close to the original Elvis rendition as possible.

All the best,

Gary cool

Thank you Tony,
What a great thread, you’ve managed to get half a dozen or more synthzoner greats to post a song.
Thank you guys.

I’m late to the Christmas party..........hats off to everyone, nice work all around.

DNJ you said a mouthful about playing Blue Christmas at some senior venues brings back some sad memories for some.

Here's tonight's version, on Korg PA4X. I used Acoustic Shuffle style.

Great rendition, Don - your vocals sound a lot like the Elvis rendition, along with some excellent pickin'. smile
