I put together a little sample of Silent Night completed on my SX 900. Nothing major....but just to show I'm making a little progress.
Thanks,
Mitch

Good rendition, Mitch. When I was still working, I performed a Reggae rendition of this song. Personally, I think the drums were just fine.

All the best,

Mitch ... A nice version of this song ... Was that a Pan Flute I heard? ... I particularly like using a Pan Flute in the more 'Religious' Christmas songs ...
Sorry, but I also though the one drum beat detracted from the performance ...

Keep 'em comin' ...

Thanks Gary and Tony. I recorded the tune using all 4 outputs. Drums were sent out 3&4. Kick drum remained in main mix. 4 outs was something I was really looking forward to in the 900.

Four outputs can be a powerful feature ...I wish my Pa900 had an output for bass and drums ...

Can you split them anyway you want? i.e. Left hand, right hand, drums, bass ...?

All style parts can be assigned to either main or sub outputs. All drum parts (percussion) can be assigned separately as well.

Beautiful song--well done. I think I wouldn't have noticed the drum if others hadn't mentioned it, but it does seem a little out of place with the beautiful laid-back backing and the wonderful flute.

I’ve always been a sucker for the explosive snare drum...ever since Bridge Over Troubled Water...where they had the snare drum at the bottom of an elevator shaft and placed the microphone ten floors up to record it.
