Donny, I am waiting for mine from Frank....so when I have it for a while I'll post my thoughts.....hopefully by end of the Month. If I don't like the sound, all the good used Genos will probably be gone by then (just my luck!)
Hi Donny, good luck with the SX900, hopefully it will work out second time around. I will definitely look forward hearing your comments or another review of the SX900 now that you've experienced the Genos. Of course the SX900 isn't a Genos but it does share a few things from each other so at least with that some comparisons can be made.
Danny I'll admit 3hrs on baby Genos try #1 wasn't much. But many hours on the similar Genos operating system educated me to be in a better frame of mind and much more knowledgeable on try #2 when it arrives after New Years Day. I will also shut onboard speakers and continue to use my Rokit Monitors on stands when playing at home also. I am am used to that great sound with the Genos. I'll start from scratch again and get it all setup.

I actually want the Genos, but I am in a good frame of mind to accept the fact that it is MUCH cheaper, lighter built in speakers etc and I am going to try to accept it as good for the price. After I get my playing skills up...maybe I will be willing to pop for a Genos...but I may be plenty satisfied with the 900....we will see. I will know if the sounds are good enough very quickly.
I saw an SX900 recently at a Guitar Center in Orlando, sat down for 20 minutes and too my KORG ears sounds like a PSR from the past, just beefed up memory, touch display and more bells and whistles.

did you play it thru a Pa system or onboard speakers, headphones etc? that said nothing wrong with sticking with KORG..
I played through the Speakers, it isn't that I don't like Yamaha, it's just that there is no support in regards to styles for the type of music that I play, also although Korg tech support is not that great it's a marriage I can't get out of. LOL!

Do what is right for you and your music....stick with what you have for now technology is always changing & maybe down the road something will catch your eye...KORG is due for something soon. Good luck
I get what Vangelis is saying. All makes have their familial or signature sound about them. One man's meat, etc., it's all down to personal preference. Me, I wish Korg would 'get their skates on', so to speak.
