My buttons were fine too. It was a few of my keys that had a weird clicky sound.

Hi Dave,
something that would never have occurred to me. I suppose if recording keyboard only, it would be directly from the lines out? but for voice if you’re playing and singing it needs to be quiet. I suppose other option would be to sing to a backing track. I don’t sing but that option sounds like it might take away some of the spontaneity?

Yup, sometimes I like to make a quick recording of a live performance, so I need to sing, and play to get the right feeling. A live mic can pickup lots of room noises, including key clicks, and button pushes. For serious stuff ... I record a rough vocal track, and replace it later with no interference.

Like those of you who have had T2, T3, T4, T5 and now Genos the noise the buttons make are never a factor. At a gig the sound level of the board/Maui’s overpowers any buttons. For recording when I do it’s directly to the keyboard so once again not a problem. On occasions I’ve used my iPhone to record and placed it NOT on top of the keyboard but nearby, I don’t recall it ever picking up the clicks. Even my wife who has the x-ray vision version of hearing has never complained about button clicks. For me it’s a non-issue.

Yikes we do tend to be critical of technology that we never dreamed of back in the 70s when all we played was acoustic piano or maybe a hefty B3 or other keyboard.

I agree!! If you're looking for something to complain about, you'll find it.

Not keyclick reltated, but on the SX900 you can select whether you want a sound when you press an icon, and whether than sound is sent to the outputs.

Guys I am talking about playing in my living room in front of maybe a few friends.....a good example is changing ots at a new part of the song or maybe at the quiet end of a performance....where you push a button for an ending.

No one here has experienced this??

Lee, For me and I only speak for me it’s a non-issue living room or not. I have played for friends at home and not a soul ever said “what’s that awful key click.” Seems they were always more impressed with the sound coming out of the board and a control panel that some say “looks like a space ship.”

I'm not sure at SX or Genos, it has to be 'investigated' by look into the manuals.
But, if use the registrations for what's it's worth, maybe it's possible to assign the route from 1 and up to be changed via footcontroller? 🤔
If so, no keyclicks needed during the song, but you have to create proper registrations for each song.
