Not sure when I can get to Shreveport, but will definitely stop in to hear Don doing his usual terrific work, regardless of the board! But that guy pickin' and singin' (probably grinning, too) would sound good with a Kazoo and Washboard. I really enjoy "old standards" and this one is now enshrined in the Don Mason Music Hall of Fame.

Most of all, though, I enjoyed the company of Don and Susan, and Deane Peters and his lovely wife who could be a double for Sarah Palin. How I wish I could find enough strength for another visit to Bossier City. Tonight Ernest prepared for me blackened trout with crawfish and cream sauce topping, after a salad that consisted of tomato, lettuce, crabmeat and marinade. And of course fresh hot buttered bread. Dessert was strawberry cheesecake but I declined, in hopes of getting out of the building without another heart attack. I did have a rare alcoholic beverage, Coffee San Pedro, with whipped cream topping. _________________________ DonM
