FYI

Some things you did not know about the Roland G70.

The G70 has a more advanced Guitar mode than on any other keyboard.
It was released in version2, and expanded feature wise in version3.
13 years ago.. wink

The G70 has a Song to style converter in version3.
It is a capable converter that is not surpassed. clap
Korg uses a basic template , that rarely is adequate..
Most conversions need to be modified to sound professional.
The G70 does this, and is easy to use.

Most folks aren't even aware that the G70 is efficient with
guitar mode and song to style converter.

Worse yet , I bet 95 percent of G70 users have never even tried
to understand, let alone use these features. frown

I probably can name another dozen features that would surpise you. smile

Fran, Why doesn't Roland hire you to design and implement the necessary features to make a Roland arranger to keep current with other manufacturers. They designed a great machine in the G70...but didn't follow up with any real competition. The E-Series was poorly marketed. The GW-7, GW-8 and Prelude used the sonic cell sound chip which couldn't compete with Korg and Yamaha offerings. It seems to me, that had they utilized their better sound engines in a more compact and contemporary design...they would be a real contender today. Either that or make a 61 key version of the G70 with a few updates.
I applaud your continued enthusiasm for the G70. I don't know how you do it!
JM

No Fran just in general,....all thoughts converge on what's better then what, yada yada yada yada ...but no one ever shows what they mean with an example doing it.
.....let's just play enjoy and make music with whatever is used...

Nope.. never needed.. With Guitar mode, D beam, and 6 realtime parts(upper 1,2,3, and lower 1,2, and manual bass).Dynamic arranger, and after touch..
You also have six fills that you can program.. More than enough to make interesting music. grin
