Tony, My friend thank you! We are praying too for the best. This is one time I wish I were back in Rhode Island. I never knew Dorian could be a storm as far as I knew it was a mode in music.

Let's all hope Dorian responds to Mother Nature as she breaks out her bugle and sounds "retreat!" Otherwise... batten down the hatches... this one could be rough!

Think this one is indeed attempting to get in the record books. Hope it falls apart before landfall!

I wish for the best outcome for everyone, but am glad I moved out of West Palm Beach to the Golf side of Florida, or I really would be worried.

All storm windows and door are up. We have lots of water and food. A portable gas burner, and two 10lbs of ice in my refrigerator. Both cars have full tanks. We are ready.

The worst part of storms is what is happening in places like Home Depot, Gas stations and food stores.

According to most weather reports, Monday should be the day we learn if that big, slow moving vacuum cleaner is going to turn North. I just pray it turns soon enough (if it really turns) to keep the surge and wind damage from being too destructive along the Florida, Georgia, and Carolina(s) coasts.

Sheriff Deputy knocked on door at dinner time saying we were under a mandatory evacuation order. In 36 years I have voluntarily evacuated several times. But, this is the first time it has been mandatory. We are out of here in the morning.
