I sit down at the keyboard, close my eyes and play a song that I learned nearly 30 years ago from a Scottish friend, Will Stewart. When I first heard Will's rendition, I knew right away this was a wonderful song to just sit down, play and relax with. The past few days have been rather hectic around here, I'm living on less than 4 hours sleep a night, and taking care of Carol during the other 20 hours.

Though I rarely perform an instrumental, here's my rendition of Mist Covered Mountains

Beautiful tune, Gary. I love that genre' (Celtic?) with it's moody minor-key melodies and chord changes. If I had one criticism, it would be (and this is just me) to not do that little double-blip thingy at the beginning of most passages; or at least, use it more sparingly.

I don't do this type of tune because they are so pretty in their own right that any attempt at improvisation would ruin them. Okay, cliche coming: Nice job.

Enjoyed, Gary:

The "double-blip" Chas mentioned is probably a nod to bag-pipe sounds which would have been used to play this tune "back in the day!" (Not that I witnessed it first hand... yet, by most standards here, I am quite old! LOL!)

Thanks for sharing, ----Dave

Thanks for listening and commenting guys. The most difficult part of this song for me was the bagpipe ending and trying to determine which note to hold for the base note of the pipe.

All the best,
