Woke up yesterday morning with severe left shoulder and neck pain...temp 103 degrees. Called the Dr. and was told to get to the hospital via ambulance.

Went through multiple blood tests, CT scans, MRI’s, Spinal Taps, X-Rays. The spinal tap was so painful...I ended up writhing in pain, tears streaming down my face.

The best guess so far is Meningitis due to the surgery. Spent the night in the hospital, and I’m still waiting for results of tests...along with waiting to here from my DR.
I’m reaching the point where Gary was at and start ripping out IV’s and bail.
—————————————————————————-
Doctors assistant finally came in. I will be staying on antibiotics, physical therapy, and finally get something to eat. The wound appears ok and the mri showed normal swelling in the surgical area. Probably one more night...and if blood cultures are clear...HOME.

Thanks to all...it looks like I’ll survive!
Mitch

Hi Mitch,

I'm sorry to hear that you've had to go through this, it is scary when getting pains around the area's you described.

That's good news that it sounds like you're recovering and hopefully it will be speedy.

Wishing you all the best,
Danny.

Been seeing Doctors all day. So far...blood cultures are clear. Fever has come down and pain has subsided a little. Infectious Disease doc will show up later to let me know what to expect.

It appears now, that the surgical incision is not the culprit. So thankfully, won’t have to go under the knife again.

Thanks for all your kind words of support.
Mitch

Mitch, it sounds like a nightmare, but it sounds like you are through the worst part. There are no words, just know I care and will be praying for you.

May you have peace as you recover, John C.

Get better soon. It's difficult playing a keyboard in a hospital bed
