Cataract surgery Monday. Running 103 temp Tuesday, blood test, xrays, swab. Have flu AND pneumonia. Everyone in the house has the flu. It's been a rough week, but nobody died.

Hang in there, Don, things will get better ...

I wondered why we had not seen posts from you, Don. I hope you and yours are feeling better now. We seem to endure new strains of flu every year. Having a dual bout with Flu and Pneumonia can be life threatening. Keep up your strength and take in plenty of liquids.

We've come a long way in medical research but there is so very much left to learn.

Don let’s compare. I was in the hospital for tow days, my heart beat was up to 175. They are now monitoring how the effects of the meds, if they do not work I may need a pacemaker. (hate that one)
My Parkinsons disease which is trying to get me – so I go to the gym to offset the shaking. The positives are that scrambling eggs and working with the hair dryer is no effort. And --- and my stomach hurts because I have been eating too much because I am looking for energy.

Don, it’s not easy, but it ain’t gonna take away from the nice parts of my life, like my nurse/wife who enjoys kissing me.

My wife is currently at Walgreens picking up steroids. My pain is at a 10 and rising.

John, don't be afraid of a pacemaker ... I had one put in last May ... I have to say that it is probably the easiest of all heart treatments ...

Flu seems to be gone, but pneumonia isn't. Went back to Dr. today and got another round of antibiotics and some more cough syrup. He said my lungs sounded much better, but it might take a few more days to clear up.

Since you didn't mention your recovery from the cataract surgery... I'm assuming your vision is back to 20-20. Thanks for the update and I hope you are up and about soon. As a group of people who post stuff... (most of it Arranger KB oriented) we seem to be falling apart at the seams. I guess it comes with the territory we've collectively entered.

My energy is diminished to a point I have not started so much as a lyric for a new song in a couple of days. I'm using my Inversion Table (my wife calls it a "Teeter-Totter") at least twice a day and it does seem to relieve the pressure on the nerve bundles between the spine's joints. I'm still not confident enough to hang vertical but hope to reach that stage soon.

Without our health... we are poor folks indeed!

Cataract surgery is doing o.k. My vision was quite cloudy afterwards, but is improving each day. Went to Dr. Tuesday and he reduced the eye drops considerably and told me it would continue to improve over the next week or two. It is not 20-20 yet but way better than it was before.
I go back in three weeks for follow up. Still have to schedule the other eye, but I'm going to enjoy at least a couple of weeks of "life" before going through that.
I am feeling much better today and I'm going to get out of the house for a few hours. Very weak in the legs still, from lying around for more than a week.

Good to hear, Don ... my b-i-l was amazed at how differently he saw colors after getting one eye done and he just had the second one done yesterday ...
Take your time getting over the flu and pneumonia ... Rest up ...

Methinks our Jingleman is either "feeling better" 'cause he is getting better... or... the "happy juice" is reducing the pain. Wishing you some relief and rapid recovery.

One thing for sure, Our Pal Mason probably checked with every Doc on the block for the best price. I hear Washington DC has "tapped him" to continue the next round of negotiations with North Korea!
He knows how to make a Buffalo Nickle "fertilize the plains!" LOL!

Dave, I keep thinking that the pain is getting better. Then I try to do something as simple as pee. It splashes all over the place. I'm a mess😣

Peeing is no longer simple! (When the "threshold" has been crossed.) OLD AGE! Much as it hurts my masculine pride, I've resorted to lowering the lid, turning around and having a seat at the great throne in my reading room. LOL!
