ELO is mainly a 70s band (That’s when I first got into them (Although Heavy Rock was more me) and where trying to be different to the Glam Rock bands that were around in the first part of the 70s and Disco in the second part of the 70s, so yes, they are an old band and although none of the videos posted come from that era (Only TV & Production studios had the capability to record video and sound in decent quality in that era) it’s always good to hear.
As to the crowds, then you have obviously led a sheltered life as that is not anything unusual.
